Universal 5432 K&N air filter modification

I've been searching the website to find the type of K&N filter replacement that will fit the Universal 5432. I know some of you have done this modification but I can't find the blog posting. If someone has the link to their blog that would be appreciated.

Question. How are you dealing with the valve cover breather. Mine has tubing from the value cover and is run to right next to the air intake so any oil that escapes the breather lime is pulled into the air intake. Christian pics has a hose but where does it run to?

Dave is correct. I cut a hole in the soft top of the K&N with an Exacto knife and screwed in a Marelon elbow that the breather hose attaches to.
It seems to be working fine but I haven't run the engine much since I did it. I'll add a sealer/adhesive if the elbow doesn't stay put.

A note on the breather tube connection--if enough oily vapor collects in the tube, it will eventually collect into "liquid" oil. If the tube is upsloping (highest in the middle) the liquid oil will run back into the breather outlet or into the filter. If the tube is down-sloping, oil can collect in the bottom and block the release of air from the breather. I had this happen. I noticed oil pumping slowly up out of the dipstick tube shortly after engine start. I disconnected the blocked breather tube and it immediately stopped.

I bought the air filter you described. I went to install it and I currently have no tube for the oil residue to discharge through. It's just the hard filter housing. Where does your tube run to?

Don, here's my breather tube and filter setup. I drilled and screwed a barb fitting into the bottom of the filter. I later became concerned about trapped oil in the down-sloping breather tube blocking the airflow, so I added an oil catch can at the lowest point in the run. https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/522...MIiIaw9MTy8QIVRsmUCR1mqAJiEAYYASABEgKqHvD_BwE

The easier way is to just have the breather tube slope upward after the breather outlet so oil can run back down into the outlet.
