My engine has a tag or seal that has not been broken. does it mean the engine has never been open? What is it for. Many thanks

I *believe* that the injection control shaft is underneath that cap nut. That is not supposed to be messed with by the owner (typically), and so the wire is to keep people from removing that nut and tinkering with the control shaft.

Safety wire. A common practice on aircraft. Keeps fasteners in place until removed and also prevents someone less someone knowledgeable from making changes while identifying some importance. Good idea.
