    E-32 Main Sail Leech

Does anyone out there perhaps know what the leech measurement is for the main on a 1975 E-32 standard rig. I believe the luff is 31.5' and the foot 13'. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill

    35;MkIII Main Halyard

I had the same concern about the sheave at the masthead. That's why I went with the rope-to-wire halyard. I will be replacing the halyard with the mast stepped and don't want to take on the trouble of replacing the sheave to accommodate an all-rope halyard.

    35;MkIII Main Halyard

I just recently purchased a replacement main halyard for our E32-2 from goodboatgear.com. It is a spliced wire-to-rope kit and is manufactured by US Rigging. A thimble and swage are included for the wire end. I have not had a chance to put it on yet but will probably be getting to it in the...

    Main Halyard

Loren: I think the shackle pin is okay and that it looks distorted due to the angle that the picture was taken at, but I will certainly take a closer look at it this weekend. Thanks for the advice. Bill

    Main Halyard

The reason that I am replacing the main halyard is that the rope portion of halyard is starting to deteriorate pretty seriously in a couple of spots. The wire portion of the halyard seems to be fine. I probably could cut one thimble off and and just replace the rope portion and swage on a new...

    Main Halyard

It appears that it is time to replace a very weathered main halyard on our 1975 E32-2. Last fall I took some measurements and this is what I found. I don't know whether this is original or not and I might not be using the correct terminology, but here goes. What is now on the boat as near as...

    Bow Light

On second thought, I think shipping would be just fine. If you can give me an email at bill@atlaswi.com we can work out the details. Thanks so much. Bill

    Bow Light

Lucky Dog: I would be most happy to take you up on your offer and would certainly be willing to pass on whatever I don't need to some other needy soul. I continue to be amazed at all the advice and other help in general that those on this site have to offer. Can you tell me where you're...

    Bow Light

As usual, if something can go wrong, it is almost certain to. Went to put a new lamp in my port bow light last Saturday. I first very carefully removed the screws making sure I didn't lose them. Next proceeded to start removing the cover and lens. Didn't want to come off easily so I thought...

Some pics of a sunday sail on my E25

Nice pictures. Did a little sail on Lake Michigan last fall. Got heel too!

    Battery Charger Advice

Thanks for the info Mort. I appreciate it. Still trying to figure out what my best option is. Bill

    Battery Charger Advice

Larry/Loren: One question. Does the 1220i really generate a lot of heat? Promariner recommends 6" clearance on all sides and top. In the compartment that I'd like to mount it, if I mount it vertically as recommend, I would be fine on the sides and face but would only have about 1"-2" on top...

    Battery Charger Advice

Larry: Our boat is a 1975 32-2 with an Atomic Four and unfortunately I have no idea of the alternator size. I'm toying with the idea of heading up to Sturgeon Bay this weekend to do a little work on it before our launch later this month, so I can maybe take a look. That's assuming we don't...

    Battery Charger Advice

Loren: I appreciate the advice. What I'll probably do is talk to West Marine because we have a Port Supply account. Although they're not technically "local" I know the guys at West Marine in Sturgeon Bay and they have been very good to work with and usually match prices of what ever I can...
