Help Please - Bilge Pump recommendation for 30+

The first one failed because I think I had the wrong fuse size. I used the original fuse that was 20A. After it failed, I re-read the specs and it called for a 15A fuse. The second one I suspect had something to do with diesel that leaked into my bilge. The pump would spin but not pump. I...

Help Please - Bilge Pump recommendation for 30+

I found a picture my old bilge pump when I first purchased the boat 4 years ago. Must be a dinosaur because googling it comes back with nothing. Since it looked like an impeller pump, I replaced it with the seaflo, only to have it fail twice. It sounds like the consensus on responses and the...

Help Please - Bilge Pump recommendation for 30+

Hello All - Help please - I need recommendations on a replacement bilge pump for the 30+. The original one when I bought the boat was a Maine Mariner Equipment MME 1300 pump mounted in the back starboard side of the board. I have since replaced it (twice) with a SEAFLO Self-Priming Impeller...

    Ericson 30+ Water Tank Questions

Thank you very much! This is very helpful! I’ll have to figure out a proper way to vent the tanks based on your pictures.

    Ericson 30+ Water Tank Questions

The previous owner replaced the sink in the head and redid all the plumbing. Would you mind sending a picture of how it should be set up properly? I’ve seen several posts about it draining into the sink, but I don’t understand the set up. Thanks!

    Ericson 30+ Water Tank Questions

For potential over flow. I was going to use an angled fitting to keep the sink water from getting into the tank. the blue line (vent) would be potentially how I would do it.

    Ericson 30+ Water Tank Questions

    Ericson 30+ Water Tank Questions

Epic fail on the plastic welding. I think I may have been more successful it would not have been a crack that was along the line of the bottom seam of the tank. Has anybody used a bladder tank in replace of the Ronco?

    Ericson 30+ Water Tank Questions

Thanks for the info on the Qest. None of the local stores carried this stuff and they had no clue what it was until I talked to an oldtimer at West. He pointed to an RV store as well. I did find this online. https://mobilehomedepotmi.com/plumbing/qest.html I think QFNCR2 26-3260 is the right...

    Ericson 30+ Water Tank Questions

It looks like a lot of work was done in the head. The previous owner replaced the sink. They also took out the hot water heater and capped off the line. Maybe the previous set up for the vent lines went to the sink like @Frank Langer setup. Glad to hear about the 3/8 to 1/2 sharkbite is a...

    Ericson 30+ Water Tank Questions

It looks like I think I found out why the tank finally cracked. Having the boat for four years and never owning a boat before I didn’t know where the air vent was located until this group helped me out- thank you! Unfortunately my lack of knowledge always seems have me learning through my...

    Ericson 30+ Water Tank Questions

Well, I may be back to trying to plastic weld. Bronco emailed me and told me the shipping was going to be $205 which makes the tank almost double now.

My tank was also not very well secured. Only had a block of wood to add pressure to it. I will be sure to secure the new one better....
