    Some E28-2 vids

Here's a vid of us gybing Wysiwyg under A-Spin last week. En-route to the equator, sailing through Indonesia. Not a bad gybe, even if I do say so myself :egrin: Thanks to Frances on S/V Sakara for posting to YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD2G9dM0lkM&feature=youtu.be Here's a vid of...

    Copper Coat bottom paint

Hey Randy, tried to respond to your private message about this but you've exceeded you're quota - quota hog !!!! tsk, tsk ! I had to redo around the waterline as it started to bubble and flake off in places around from the waterline to about three inches under the water; not sure whether this...

Good luck, would love to have the skills and space to sew my own sails.

    E28 sail plan

Yep, especially with all the heavy traffic in the Singapore Straits. Evolution have a local loft so I've got the guys coming over for a sail. He will assess the set up and recommend a suitable headsail for my cruising needs. I'll update as and when.

    E28 sail plan

Hi there when I bought my E28-2 she came with two 150 deck sweeper genoas, they are huge sails. I've used the newest of the two for four years now and whilst i've no complaints from a performance perspective, I really do feel that the genoa does most of the work, back drafting the main like...

    Those old Universal Engine Blues

I went through the Beta agent in Malaysia who also handles SPW props, so I got the engine, control panel, gearbox, 4 blade variprop, new shaft, cutlass bearing and a PSS Shaft seal all supplied and installed for just less than USD$10,000.00. I'd consider that good value purely because it means...

    Those old Universal Engine Blues

My 91 Ericson 28-2 came with a Volvo-Penta 2002, which went in the bin after it failed catastrophically last year. I put in a Beta 20, which is a marinized Kubota block. It is an extremely sweet engine, much quieter and smoother than the old Volvo (it's a 3 cylinder as oppose the Volvo's 2)...

    Wicked Salty Ericson

Good luck man. Living aboard my E-28 was a great experience. Learn to live with less, it's very liberating. Small sailboats rock!

Foresail dragging on the bow pulpit.

Or just live with it, like this guy :egrin:

Foresail dragging on the bow pulpit.

Same issue on my E28-2, I was told by the previous owner that the sail was cut close to the deck for racing and sure enough, when we are beating and it is hauled right in, it is nowhere near the pulpit or the guardlines and really comes into its own. My main issue is having zero visibility...

    Dorade vent engine cooling E-28

Any water ingress? It must rain occasionally, even in sunny Florida.
