Thanks for your email, Erik. I like the different look of the 36C and the rear stateroom/chart table/head arrangement a lot, but I found out there is about 6'-3" max headroom and that is too short for me. Too bad because I think it is a very cool design.

Sorry for the delay, Erik, but I have been busy at work. Thank you for your email!
How does the Unda Maris sail? In light vs. heavy air? Close hauled, on a reach, downwind? What would you change about the boat if you could?
Ed
Great! I hope you don't mind a few questions. I recently discovered the 36C and am intrigued by the differences (much of which I like) between this model and say the E35 or E38.
How did you decide to buy your boat and how long have you had her?
Hi Dean,
I recently saw a 36C for sale here in Maryland and was wondering how long you have owned yours and if you would mind answering some questions about her.

Thanks, Jeff. That definitely helps me. That is interesting. I just thought it was like cars and different models that are essentially the same. Small tweaks to create customer interest. Now, I want to figure out what PHRF ratings are and how different boat characteristics affect those...
Hello E-35 Owners,
Can someone help me distinguish an E35-3 from an E35-2, from an E35-3RH and from an E-35 MKIII? Do you know the standing headroom in any of the E-35s?
Ed
Thanks, Keith and apologies for sluggish reply. Been busy the past week or so. I did catch CW's comments about the E-38 being a sound boat even after what he experienced. I don't expect to cross to HI or maybe the Atlantic equivalent. I expect to coastal sail mostly and at most cross the...
Hi Mike,
Sorry this took me so long to reply. It has been a busy past week. Thank you for your reply!
If we live aboard it would be weeks at a time and not full-time. For the first few years it will be weekending on the Chesapeake.
How tender is your boat in gusty 15-20 knot winds...
Thank you, Christian! Appreciate the commentary especially the one where you are sailing at the same time. Too funny!
I will pick up Nigel Calder's book. I forgot about him. Remember being impressed by the detail in some book(s) of his years ago.
What do you think of the periodicals...
Thank you for thinking of me and for the offer, Kapnkd. I am not at that stage yet. I have a lot of local research I need to do first.
Wow, that is some adventure your friend and wife did. I would like to talk to him about his impressions of the boat and how adding the keel bulb affected...
