For others that have had a new rudder built - do you normally bring the old and new rudder to a machine shop to have the stock machined/drilled? What does a new rudder cost to ship?

I changed the lube and gear oil after taking possession and sent it in. For under $60 including pre paid postage it seemed too good to be true. If something suspect showed up I'd do it regularly.
