    WTB Ericson 30+

I have a 1985 Ericson 30+ in Oxnard that I am interested in selling. PM me for details. Thanks!

    Troubleshooting foredeck light circuit

Yeah, I figured 9 years was long enough...still have the boat though! :nerd:

    Troubleshooting foredeck light circuit

Better late than never... Turns out the problem was just that the LED light that was replaced in the foredeck light fixture is polarized; it has to be plugged in correctly. I was having some rigging replaced and asked the rigger about the light and he said, "Sometimes the LED light gets plugged...

Ericson 30+ for sale in NYC

Wow, lots of Ericson 30+'s for sale right now. I just saw three listed in the current issue of Latitude 38...one of them was even featured in an article because it had been repowered with an electric motor...

    M-18 M-25 Alternator bracket changeout

I bought the replacement parts and never installed them. Everything I read about the failures was related to the M25 engine; I could find no mention of the failure ever having occurred on the M18. (I think I may have even asked about it here or on the Catalina forum and never got an answer. Feel...

    Time to haul out.

Do you really think they are personally visiting each boatyard to give them this information? I guess they haven't heard about the U. S. Postal Service...

WTB: 3 Ericson white logo stickers....

There is a graphic file somewhere here on the site. You'll probably have to take it to a local decal/sign maker to have some made. Run off a hundred or so and you could probably sell some here yourself...

    All is Lost....the movie

Do you think they would still go? Then why didn't the distributor do more marketing for the film? And why is Redford complaining about the marketing when he never did much to help promote it himself?

    Spar manufacturer for 1974 E27

[/COLOR] Sorry if I was incorrect about the manufacturer; my boat is 1985 and it has a Kenyon mast and boom. BTW, do not order anything from Rig Right if you can avoid it. You will pay 3x the cost and have to put up with people who don't seem to really care about your business. I have talked...

    Whales, anyone?

Maybe someone could direct a few of those whales to come up into the East Santa Barbara Channel. I used to see them all the time 5 years ago; now, not hardly at all. But I keep hearing on the news that there are tons of whales being sighted now...

    Spar manufacturer for 1974 E27

    Probably Kenyon.

    About sails...a poll?

I have no idea the age of my sails, but I suspect like most everything else on the boat the main could be original. The jib is definitely newer. Main = Hood; Jib = Rolly Tasker. I took the main to Ullman in Ventura a few years ago and had a couple of tiny cuts patched. Got basically the same...

    AIS on the Chartplotter

I have that radio, or maybe the previous model. It is kinda cool that you can highlight a target, get the name of the vessel and with DSC call them directly. Yeah, when a woman is getting ready to squash me like a bug, I want to be able to call her by her name...

    Another battery question

I have brought up the Race Cell Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries here a few times, but no one seems to have any direct experience with them. I like the idea of the brick-sized battery as a dedicated starter battery; and it could easily fit almost anywhere in the engine compartment. The big...

    Dangerous battery situation?

This is exactly what one of the guys at West Marine said when I took my batteries in for testing. BTW, my problem has been solved by replacing the batteries. (See separate thread. I started the new thread when I was standing in Costco looking at their marine deep cycle batteries thinking I...
