    @dhill Sorry for the late response. I have had both types, physical controls, and a full touch screen. Even with the pinky/ring finger stabilizing my hand, I still have difficulty connecting with the sweet spot on a touch screen!!! Might just be me??? You could always walk into West Marine or...

    My personal preference is to have physical buttons or controls. Trying to hit the correct spot on a touch screen with cold and/or wet hands, while being bounced around by mother ocean, can literally be a crapshoot....food for thought.

    Alan - we went to the Isthmus over the weekend. You are correct, all of the anchored container ships are east of LA light. What caught my attention was drift ship that was just west of the approach to Cherry cove. There are at least 4 out there with 1 close to the island. Be careful!

    Best tip ever! Put the key for the engine on a floaty and hang it on the engine raw water thru-hull handle. You'll never forget to open it and it's the last thing you close.

    Pressurize the box and find the leaks below John, We had the same issue. The final fix for us: Plug all the weep holes but one Cut a plate to cap the opening of the Dorade box Put a bit of water in the Dorade box Apply pressurized air to the one weep hole not plugged Open the head liner...
