Is it possible to still purchase a stock chainplate for an E27, or will I have to remove it and have one customized? Don

    E27 transom cutout

Come on guys what about inovation? Some E27's were built this way for racing, so the what I need to find out is what the transom looks like inside. Simply wood backing which would sugest it's not a strucual issue or if metal was incorperated to provide the needed support.

    E27 transom cutout

My E27 has an atomic 4 with a solid transom. I'm considering cutting out the transom as some with outboards have.I'm considering this to have a walk through to the dingy as opose to climing over the transom. The question then is what needs to be done to compensate for strucual integredy if in...

Rigging adjustment on my E 27'

I'm pulling the mast once I put her back in the water and will be replacing the rigging as well as a host of other things. My question is the specks call for the mast to go aft 6". I'll drop a plum bob to see where she's at now, but my reason for asking is I suspect that she's raked more than 6"...

    E27 exhaust loop

My 1976 E27 has an Atomic 4 with an upward loop (galvanized) in the exhaust line at the thruhull in the stern. Any Ericson owners out there have the same setup? I spoke with Don Moyer and he didn't recall any boats using the A4 with this. The reason for asking is I have some restriction...

    E27 Throttle and shifter handels

My throttle and shifter handles have "disappeared". On a quick look I was unable to find a manufacturer name on the housing, and I don't recall ever seeing them on any supply sites or catalogs. Does anyone know the original manufacture for a 1976 E27 or know where the handels can be found. Are...

    The original tiller for a 1976 27'

I need to replace my (broken) tiller, which is 52" long. In speaking with Carol at H & L she shows the proper tiller is 46 3/4" long, # 1157, with a 5" rise. Does anyone know what the original was or have any suggestions as to which tiller(s) may be correct, understanding that a tiller is a...

Thanks to all. I've looked at the PSS but was hopeing to stay with the original system, so I'll probably use exhaust hose. Don

I need to locate a 1 3/8 stuffing box hose for my E27

Loren, Vetus doesn't carry packing hoses. Spoke with one company who forwarded my request to another company, but their unable to manufacture it, (even if I could have afforded it). Walter, if I do locate one I'll let you know although it seems unlikely at this point. Tender, no, one doesn't...

I need to locate a 1 3/8 stuffing box hose for my E27

Lyle, Thanks, I'd heard of GFO but haven't searched for a number to call them, now I'll be calling them tomorrow. Spartan didn't have 1 3/8 hose, so the search for an alternative continues. Don

    E27 Bilge revisited

My E27 is out of the water and last week I used hydrolic grout ( no not the type for tile )and made a vertical pour about 3" thick at the rear of the bildge and added tie wire for additional strength. I'll let it cure for a few weeks and then fiberglass it in as well as smoothing out the bottom...
