Exhaust coming out of a two ports.

Lately my Erickson 30+ has been pissing from two exhaust ports. See photo please. Not sure what's up. Engine temps are good, no leaks. Can anyone shed some light on what my Universal M18 is doing?

Main Sail is hard to Pull Up

I ended up purchasing a new sail and Strong Track. Thanks to responders who pointed me in the right direction. Much better action especially coming down. I need a way to gather the sail once down. I had a dutch lazy jack on my previous sail and wasn't that thrilled with it. I think I'd like to...

    Maintaining teak in the cabin

Most anything from mineral oil to motor oil works to clean and hydrate interior teakwood. Some might say "bad advice" but most wood cleaners/oils work well.

    E30+ INTERMITTENT STARTING PROBLEMS

I'm having intermittent problems starting the engine on my '84 Ericson 30. The engine is a Universal M-18 Diesel which, when started runs well. The problem occurs after sailing for a while. The starter lugs and appears to not have enough power to turn over the engine. My 3 year old batteries are...

Main Sail is hard to Pull Up

My mainsail is hard to raise. I overhauled the winch but the main is un-naturally hard to raise and lower. I squirt some 3-in-0ne into the track and checked the slugs. Mine is a 37 year old Ericson 30+ with the original main and mast. Any suggestions for making the Mainsail easier to raise and...

    Fuel Gauge Whoas

Thank you one and all. Your responses where all read and appreciated. I inspected the wiring and replaced the sending unit. When I had the old sending unit out of the tank I noticed that the fuel was to the brim of the tank. Perhaps it isn't a false reading. Perhaps the bloody fuel tank is full...

    Fuel Gauge Whoas

On the tank there's a single wire hooked to a terminal in the center of the circular 5 bolt sending unit. The wire goes straight to a terminal on the fuel gauge. Also on the 2" gauge are terminals for positive, negative, and light.

    Fuel Gauge Whoas

The fuel gauge on my E 30+ now suddenly gives me a false reading beyond full. I cleaned the electrical connections - the sender, + & - on gauge, sender on the gauge and light. No difference. I decided to order a new gauge and sender but I still feel like I'm missing something. Any words of...

    How many Ericson 30+ built?

    My girl's number is 714. A 1984 30+. A reliable and loyal boat as I've ever had.

Need help with my Sea Water inlet to Impeller

Thanks Frank and Loren for the help. I turned off the seawater intake valve and was successfully able to change the least hose. Looks like it'll hold.

Need help with my Sea Water inlet to Impeller

My E30+ is dripping water from the filter and the hose that leads the water to the impeller. The water can't be drained from the hose as it draws water continuously. Changing the hose seems like a very wet proposition. Does anyone have experience with replacing hoses and/or the filter system...
