    Water ring on interior wood

Hello everyone! I have a 1984 E28+ with a beautiful interior. But now I've gotten this "water mark" on the wood work just above the cabin sole in the main salon. I think its of my own creation because I overfilled the fresh water tank located under the port side settee. Stupid me, I kept trying...

    1984 Universal 5411 BEEP...BEEP...BEEP!

No more BEEP! I think the overheating issues on my '84 5411 diesel are repaired, or will be soon. I was wrong to suspect a bad sensor/gage; the engine really was overheating! (C'mon, is it REALLY ever a bad gage or sensor? Who was I kidding?) The temp gage is functioning and the engine was...

Show us your recent Ericson photos

Hanging out in La Paz It IS a great place to hang out, especially when you're hanging in one of the prettiest Ericson's ever made! How was the trip down?

    1984 Universal 5411 BEEP...BEEP...BEEP!

Thanks Mark. VERY helpful information! That's where I'll start. I'll let you know how it goes. Phil

    1984 Universal 5411 BEEP...BEEP...BEEP!

Universal 5411 going beep..beep Thanks Christian! After being on this forum for a while now, I take what you would do as sound advice. I intend to do as you suggested and find a good mechanic to go over the engine with me. I need to learn this stuff. First step (duh!) is going to be finding out...

    1984 Universal 5411 BEEP...BEEP...BEEP!

Toddster, I have a brand new impeller. The BEEP does not go away when move throttle up a tick, but does go away at higher rpm. I don't know if I have a coolant flow sensor - I'll have to look. Where would that sensor be located? Thank you!

    1984 Universal 5411 BEEP...BEEP...BEEP!

My seemingly healthy 1984 Universal 5411 in my E28+ will intermittently go BEEP...BEEP...BEEP. As my gages are nonfunctional for the most part, I don't know what its trying to tell me. It does not seem to be overly warm to touch, etc, and it will happen when the motor hasn't been running for...

    E28 auto helm

Great Video Please excuse my stray from the subject matter, but I must say Christian's videos are well done, informative and even entertaining. Watch them if you haven't already - you might learn something! Thanks Christian!

    E28 auto helm

Installing auto helm today rpm, I also have an E28 and just received my Raymarine ev 100. I bought it because it had great reviews and it was reasonably priced. My application will be weekly sailing off San Diego with the occasional trip to Catalina Island or harbor hopping northwad. This ev...

Universal 5411 instrument panel - replace and/or refurbish

I am loving this E28+ so far. Lots of projects completed: new sails, new forestay, new foredeck and mast head lights, new triple deck organizers and rope clutches, one-line jiffy reefing system, all new running rigging, lazy jacks, motor thoroughly serviced, new sail cover, dodger being made...

    e28+ Interior Headliner

Task completed Thanks to everyone for their assistance on this. Job wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Used hand held stapler to restaple headliner and it worked great. Trim strip came off and back on easily. A few wrinkles in the headliner after completion, but not bad. Glad I did it the...

    e28+ Interior Headliner

Starduff, Appreciate your input. Fortunately, all of my zippers function well. Its just that there are not enough of them and the ones I have are not in the right places!

    e28+ Interior Headliner

I have a hand held stapler. I also have a portable air compressor. I think I'll try the hand held first and see how it goes. If it proves to be too difficult, I'll buy a gun for the compressor and follow Glyn's methodology. My fears lie in damaging the old perfect headliner/trim rail as I...

    e28+ Interior Headliner

Thanks Loren and Glyn. Guess I have my work cut out for me. I really didn't want to remove the trim pieces holding the head liner in place, but sounds like the best and only way to do it right. I'm also concerned about tearing or otherwise damaging the old headliner - it looks so good right...

    e28+ Interior Headliner

My newly acquired 1984 E28+ has a beautiful original headliner practically without a mark on it and no tears whatsoever. That's the good news. The bad news: I want to replace some deck hardware and I cannot reach the underlying nuts; even with headliner unzipped in the specific locations they...
