    Refrigerator Space

Cory. We have a 35-3 #127 in Pt Roberts Wa. that we are going to add refrig to large ice box. I am impressed with technology in Norcold, with swing motor compressor and auto switching AC/DC but keep hearing bad comments on them related to short life, noise , and efficiency ... How do you...

    Refrigerator Space

Frank, I would like to go with Norcold instead of NovaKool, due to uprite design of compressor and fact that is is both DC and AC, and price is couple hundred less, but little concerned that only supplier locally is West Marine. Where did you purchase , and how old is unit ?? Regards Ron

Refrigeration/Ice We were planning to install refrig last year in AZGARD, 35-3 1983, but somehow became involved in many days of cruising San Juan Islands, so will try again.. All the fotos have answered many questions for me except my concern for keeping bagged ice near to frozen in the...

    New Prop & Prop Harmonics

Prop noise Steve. We had much same problem with Azgard, 35-3 hull 127 1983 over many years starting with p.o. We even did a complete engine change to the new 25 xpb model with a few more hp and noise persisted.. Problem prop was rh 16 x10 Federal Michigan 3 blade and noise was at 1400 to...

    Refrig on 1983 35 Mk3

Want to install refrig, and local mfg Nova Kool 12V does not quite fit on the Stbd Laz shelf , just slightly too wide, and projects out into Laz few inches. I can likely make it fit by building in a raised shelf to place in wider part of hull as seem to have plenty of space heightwise... What...

    One more go-'round on props

Campell Prop on 35-3 We have no problem in reverse. There is less walk to port then with prev Federal prop. We tend to back out of slip with very short burst at 1100 rpm until we get some steerage, which works fine, but we are still finding new prop to be more neutral in regards to walk...

    One more go-'round on props

prop go-around we and po were suffering with high pitched singin prop at 1400 to 1900 rpm and 2000 to 2200 which persisted thru complete engine replacement of all components except shaft and prop. we were running a federal 3 blade 16 X 10 which gave plenty of power............... We recently...

    Maintenance & Mechanical

We have just recd reply from Surveyor and Underwriter on our engine failure........They continue to insist "Proximate Cause" was a result of wear and tear, a gradual deterioration, resulting from a failure on the alternator bracket. Further , a latent defect does not occur after a 20-year...
