    E27 "Tween'r" Handrail Project (Ericson 27)

Aside from needing to replace most things still original, when I took possession of Tween'r the first thing identified as needing attention were the leaky handrails on the dog house. While inspecting the project, I was a bit surprised to learn the rails were not through bolted with access from...

    E27 Me and "Tween'r" (Ericson 27)

I've had a lot of boats during my 56 plus years of being on this earth, most of which have been sailboats. Sailing is my favorite. At age twelve we lived on a small 100 lake in north Alabama, Pine Lake. My dad got me a Super Snark. It was Super because it wasn't just a hull of exposed...

Inboard Jib Tracks on the E27

Given the outboat chainplates and the toe rail genoa track on the E27, it seems logical to install an additional jib track inboard, especially for better sheeting with say a working jib or a 110. I'm guessing someone has done this and I'd like to get your thoughts and comments. Kirk Jockell...

    Ericson 27 Rating (PHRF)

I just got my rating here on Lake Lanier, GA. It came in at 228. I guess we'll see how it shakes out. Kirk Jockell "Tween'r" #1281

    E27 Outboard Cutout Option

Thank you, Good Sir... You caught me off guard with that. It took me back to that day. Now that I've stopped bawling, again. I can say, "I'm glad you enjoyed it."

    E27 Outboard Cutout Option

Thanks BIGD14, It looks to be professionally done, so I'm guessing the factory did it. The current owner has a 9.9 Honda Four Stroke on the back. That seems a bit overkill and at 98, hell ... call it 100 lbs off the stearn that is a lot of weight hanging off the back (thinking sailing...

    E27 Outboard Cutout Option

No burden, Loren. In my case, with the 1978 model I'm looking at ... there is no inboard. The engine compartment has never had one installed. You could eat off the floor of that thing. The only thing I can figure is the original owner bought it new with no engine and either had the factory cut...

    E27 Outboard Cutout Option

While I know Ericson had the outboard transom cutout in its earlier models, does anybody know if they offered it as an option during the later years? Like towards the end of the production run? I'm looking at a pretty clean late model E27 with an outboard and the inboard compartment looks pretty...
