    E-29 weather helm

I never run on full main and 155 Genoa in 20 knots - it would be ugly (to me ... I do not like water going over the rail :)) . In that much wind I have 1 reef in the main and reduce head to 100 or so. On the other hand after I had put bigger rudder in my e29 3/4 of my complains had gone away -...

    Fuel Polishing ASAP

I am actually considering installing a clear inspection plate over the deepest part of my aluminum tank on e29 - this one is prime contender http://www.tank-depot.com/productdetails.aspx?part=R-DP60-W-C (Beckson 6"Clear Inspection Plate) unless some one will tell me that it is not a good...

    Inboard vs Outboard Racor filter

Folks, I was changing my water separation filter and just noticed that the Racor filter installed is rated "outboard only" B32013 with S3213 10 micron spin on. Should I be concerned and run to get inboard version, or it only a matter of marketing? Cheers,

    boarding ladder on e29

Giving up on this ladder ... It looks like it is exercise in futility to find parts for this 20+ year old ladder so plan B. What brand of permanent ladder would good people here recommend? I do not want to modify back rail just mount a flip down ladder on the stern. Cheers,

    boarding ladder on e29

Folks, Could some one indicate the brand of a folding boarding ladder that attaches to clips on the port side (see picture attached). The arm of one I have had broken off and before I would venture out into fabrication new from SS it would be nice just to get spare parts if there are still...

    Emergency diesel help in Milwaukee

Folks, Our friends were sailing from Milwaukee back home to Muskegon Mi, but ... you had guessed it water in the diesel and the engine had quit 20 mi off shore. They had to turn back and sailed to McKinleymarina. If someone knows a reputable diesel mechanic in the area I would appreciate the...

    e29 water tank repair

Sounds like a plan Gary, This sounds like a plan since I can not get any answer from Ronco Plastics to the matter. Besides it will give me LEGITIMATE reason to use 5200 :) Cheers,

    e29 water tank repair

Folks, I was filling in our fresh water tank and started commenting to my wife that somehow it can take a lot of water this year ... and then the bilge pump kicked in... It looks like there is a crack close to the top of the tank and wonder would it be wise to try to epoxy the crack (not sure if...

    Rudder travel e29

The Rudder Report Folks, First of all - thank you all who contributed to my previous cry for help about excessive lee helm and strange boat sailing behavior... After almost 2 month of fighting with rudder from Foss that refused to go in I got myself a new boat. Well technically she is the same...

    Damaged Pulpit - E-29

I am in the same predicament and was afraid to remove the bent pulpit as I was told by many in my marina that even if I will manage to bent it back into the shape it will never be able to reinsert it into the same post holders. From the railmakers picture they sell new pulpit with bottom holders...

    New cushions for e29

Thanks folks! Looks like I need to visit sailrite site to look for new foam and material and balance it against $1600 price mark - definitively a winter project. RJOlm, Did you cut new foam yourself or the same guy who had sewed them also cut the foam?

    E29 - help - minor c02 poisoning in v-birth

Name aside this thread made me wonder - my wife and I are always getting headaches after spending a night on a boat. We had contributed that to lack of cushion support or perhaps red wine :egrin:, Now though I will actively experiment with ventilation in v-berth to see if that is the root. Cheers,
