    Mechanical Surveyor near Alameda

Sean reassured me that was unnecessary unless there was a baseline established through previous routine testing. I think that I will pass on that as well.

    Mechanical Surveyor near Alameda

Thanks Frosero. The boat has a Universal diesel. Hans at List Marine is not doing mechanical surveys that aren't at his own shop for the time being...as of yesterday. He cited Covid as major reason. You bring the boat to him, he will do it. I just spoke with Sean and it looks like that was...

    Mechanical Surveyor near Alameda

It's been recommended that I have a mechanical survey in addition to the marine survey I have scheduled soon. I've talked to a few Marine Mechanics and it seems they have varying degrees of unavailability. Can anyone recommend their Marine Mechanic for a mechanical survey up near Alameda? Thanks.

    Astraea

Very informative. ...and I thought I had consumed all of your offerings already.

    Astraea

Thanks. I was really wanting to know the differences. I looked at others, one with that nice rear cabin, but I think the larger galley will be nicer to have in the end. I expect to solo sail mostly so additional privacy will be nice but less useful. That said, have there been threads on the...

    Astraea

That's right, Christian. Maybe she has a little bit of innocent pleasure left to give.

    Astraea

Hello Everyone. I ran into an Ericson 38 that I'm trying to gather a bit more info on. I'm purchasing, her as long as everything goes well. Her name is Astraea. Anyone heard of her or know her story? Thanks.

    Surveyor in Alameda ?

Not sure you found a surveyor yet but I've just scheduled a survey on an e38 with Jeff Keiser. He says he owns the same boat. He's near Sausalito or Mill Valley, I think.

    V-berth workshop

What I saw while on vacation in Kosrae While on vacation a few years ago, I got myself invited onto one of the cruisers boats that was anchored in the harbor. "Don't try to pet the boat-locked cat," he says. "Ouch," says I. It was pretty cute though. His boat was a center cockpit, steel...

Is there a starting battery on a 1971 E32? If so, I can't find it.

Thumbs up, Loren. My 32-2 is exactly as you described it. Of course, with a boat this old, who knows what people have done with them, but I also have two batteries under the port berth just below the companionway. 1-All-2 switch is over near power panel on my boat. There is no separate...

    Help find some information

That's a bit to think about. Thanks for the links and thoughts. I guess I don't know right now if the boot is leaking or not. I will have to plan on pulling the mast and checking it out. My spreader lights are currently not working and though they likely just need new bulbs, it might be a...

    Help find some information

Hey everyone, I have been searching this site, using the search tool as well as using google to search and I'm having trouble getting the information that I'm looking for. I have a few leaks on my 32-2 and I was wondering how the electrical penetrates the cabin top and goes into the mast. Not...

Favorite San Francisco Bay overnight destination?

If you have one, where do you store your outboard while underway?

My motor is just off the back and actually touching the water. Not sure the pics will show up. Outboard mount penetrates the transom to secure to below the binacle. Not a bad mount I guess but the prop sits in the water even when fully raised as this is a fixed height mount. Adding a mount...
