Well, there seemed like no time like the present to replace the cabin sole on our E38, one of the original 1980 versions. Thanks to al those who ventured before and posted their wisdom and lessons learned. These included: careful pattern making along a marked centerline, three coats of clear epoxy on top bottom and edges, hard satin finish with gloss on trim, flush bronze square head screws. About 100-150 hours start to finish. About $1200. Now I may get to head north, but not into Canada.
