Adding Telltales

I’m preparing our E34-2 for the season, and bought a package of telltales...
Any tips on where to place these? Currently, there are none on the Genoa; and some on the leech of the mainsail.

Here's what mine look like. But anywhere that luffs first works.

You can also put one on the leech of the main a few feet down from the head or near the top batten. To windward, the top batten tends to stall, and a streamer there helps alert to trim with the traveler and mainsheet. Kinda hyper, but does illustrate the issue for the mainsheet trimmer.
