We are currently under a denial of service (DoS) attack - wherein another server bombards our server requesting or searching for threads. At this moment there is what appears to be a concentrated effort from a Singapore/China IP with about 600 entries. I have standing IP blocks against them, however they continue to hit the servers and get error messages.
So, to address it, I have restricted searching the db to be by Registered users only - meaning you have to login to do searches. I will look into this further and will be updating our IP ban lists.
