E 27 boom install and rigging

Hi,
We have been recovering a 1978 E27 here in Valparaíso, Chile.
When my friends removed the mast, they forgot to take pictures of the very special way the boom and the mainsheet rigging were installed:esad:.
It seems a quite tricky system.
Could anybody owning a similar one, please, send us pictures (as detailed as possible) or a diagram?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
If you go to the "Downloads & Galleries tab on this site and search for "E27", there are several files that will be helpful for you including original owners manual and rigging diagrams. One of the great advantages of this group.

On the E27 there were two main variants, one had the main sheet attached mid boom and the traveler on the cabintop. The other was if it had a "T" cockpit design the main sheet was rigged to the end of the boom and the traveler on the raised "T" of the cockpit floor. Other than that it should be pretty straight forward. On standard designs there is also a topping lift running from the end of the boom to the top of the mast to keep the boom from dropping when the sail is dropped. it was cleated off on the port side of the boom as I remember. That should be about it unless there was a boom vang or lazy Jacks added.

Good Luck!
