Sorry, I know that video is not available...working on making that happen. Facebook rules, unfortunately.

Is it still on YouTube or another platform other than Facebook? If so, make settings there "public' and also "OK to download and embed."

Post here the link in a new message. As you know (but others may not know), this site doesn't host videos, the link must be available elsewhere.

Videos uploaded to Facebook, and hosted by them, are now shared as 'Reels,' which I believe are reformatted to 16:9 and reduced for IPhone or other casual viewing by persons seeking new lipstick or Kardashian opinion. Those happy with current lipstick may prefer full videos.

OK, found the video on YouTube and made it public. I think it'll work now. It was my very first vid!
The suspenseful music was cool. Good job with editing!

Hey Bob,
Fun video. I caught a glimpse of your sail number, and it looked a bit like mine, which is 33874. Do you know what the numbering convention might have been?

If a prior owner raced the boat, the old USYRU probably assigned a permanent number to the boat for all sails (except non overlapping headsails like a working jib). Blocks of numbers were/are reserved for each major geographic sailing area of the US. For instance our number, 28400, was assigned in SF, and stays with the boat even though it is in the NW where the numbers start with 50. I have been out of "racing" for several decades, so others will have more current info. Heck, maybe even correct info! :)

You’re seeing my old main sail that came with the boat when I purchased it. ”32722” Was for Ericson “32” with the hull number “722”. Why it was marked that way was a mystery to me. My newer sail just have the Ericson logo and “32-3” on it. As far as I know the PO didn’t race the boat, but I could be wrong. I can tell you that I don’t.

Mine is just "737", which is my hull number. Three mains came with the boat, but I don't know if the oldest is the original, but it may be. It has the viking helmet logo with a large "32" below.

I too have the Ericson logo above the “32-3”.

Interesting hearing about sail numbers on your Ericson's. I know Hobie catamarans sail number is the number produced. I love learning about things I dont know much about and so far I have learnt a ton of stuff from this group. My Ericson is a fine boat i have discovered after working on it for last 4 months. Im so lucky and still can't believe I bought her for $700. I got her home safely to her new home 560 miles away on a homemade trailer towed by my 2004 chevy with 350,000 miles.
