Ericson 31 custom

A professional boatbuilders personal vessel. Far, far stronger than any production Ericson.
Multiple layers of triaxial glass set in epoxy. Lead internal ballast set in epoxy then covered in triaxial before the floor pan set down. The bulkheads are solid tongue and groove okwen and covered in a full layer of triaxial then a second layer of tongue and groove. All the interior cabinets are solid t&g properly tabbed into the hull again with triaxial in epoxy.
the hull deck joint bolted then glassed over. The hull Is ballisti.
The chainplates are solid silicon bronze bolted to the exterior of the hull with button head silicon bronze bolts, interior plates not washers, and extra heavy nuts.
The compression post is laminated clear Douglas fir set into a teak cross hull beam.
The cabin sole is herringbone teak. All the interior doors are full louvred teak. Refrigerator has 6” insulation. Bronze cat eye ports fwd. Extra hatches. Teak dorade boxes and handrails.
Four cylinder Vetus 33hp full rebuild with new transmission.
All seacocks solid Apollo bronze ball valves. Edson wheel steering. Extra gudgeon and Pintle.
Massive bronze anchor rollers.
Bronze oversized self tailing winches. Tapered bronze stancheons. Bolted bobstay plates.
Custom bronze hawse hole castings. Main sheet traveler, pad eyes.
Laminated teak bulwark. A solid cap rail and bolted spray rail.
Damage list.
The rig is lost. The bowsprit broke at the stem but all the bronze fittings are saved.
A lot of the teak in the cockpit needs to be glued down again. New port glass, new main hatch and a new prop and bottom job. A lot of work.
The price. To be determined.
I kept this boat hoping that one of my sisters children would want it but they are not sailors.
I only want to recover what selling the boat piece by piece would total.
I see people investing in flimsy production boats with severe structural issues. I’ve worked for a half dozen production builders. My wife and I built and own a custom 60’ aluminum expedition yacht. This Ericson is worth saving. It’s in St. Mary’s GA.
My email is oysteryacht@icloud .com
Serious inquiries... Please...If you have the skills and funds and time necessary to undertake this project, we would be happy to discuss this further.
Thank you. Captain Mark

Interesting.
Photos? Year? Asking price?
Unfortunately, a mast (delivered and fully fitted out, with all new standing rigging) could cost at half again as much as a reasonable selling price for the hull :-(

That model is one I would Really like to sail, if I could afford to own multiple sailboats. And had my own marina, like Jay Leno's "garage"..... :)
