Ericson 35-3 Mast Keel stepped really?

Our new to us E35-3 1983 year, had a mast which penetrates the coach roof, has a hold down cable, and is attached to the triaxial grid. Does this count as a true keep stepped mast? I know this seems like a silly question, but I'm trying to understand all aspects of this new to us boat, identify risk points and address them.

I do know there is a gigantic reddit discussion about Keel step vs deck step and I'm not intending to open that can of worms. But if thoughts are forthcoming, they would be welcomed from this experienced group.

As true as true gets. The cable holds the deck down against the force of its blocks pulling up.

Deck-stepped masts have their place, but the deck has to hold them up, which means additional reinforcement.
