His story of the photographer's condition during his salvage operation still resonates.

Thanks for this, Christian! It's so interesting how people react so differently in various situations. There is a balance, I think, between remaining open to adventure and new experiences, while also being mindful of one's limitations and comfort levels.

Thank you Christian for posting that story, how fortunately you got to meet them in person. Hall Roth is my all time favorite sailing books author, good blend of romantic, history, philosophy, and technical information. "Always a Distant Anchorage" is my favorite.
