I bought Sure Shot!

I really started looking at boats probably around 2016-ish. That's when I actually started going out and touching other peoples boats instead of just bookmarking craigslist ads and day-dreaming. And over the last 7 years, some of the things I saw, accidently touched, and stepped in on other peoples boats are worth writing about... someday, maybe.

Anyhow, on Nov 10th, 2025, my gut finally said this is the one. Here's a little bit of what I inerited with Sure Shot, a 1990 32-200. The stoke is real!

Congratulations! You have purchased an Ericson with a rich refit and cruising history. @goldenstate did a multi-year refit on that boat and sailed her to Hawaii. I think most of the projects he endeavored upon are all summarized here: https://sailboatrefit.com/, as well as the blog on this board, https://ericsonyachts.org/ie/ubs/blog/32-200-projects-sure-shot.11600/

I had the honor of joining Tom for some offshore experiments in preparation for his Hawaii adventure.

Welcome to the Ericson family! :egrin:

Wow, that's a long time to shop! I started in 2019 to seriously consider and I am now on my second boat and still loving it and learning. No regrets!

My age might effect the scale of things
