I do/do not want to get a larger Ericson

Several years ago we traded up from a Tartan 30 to the E34 mainly due to the increased interior room. But we have found that in the windy conditions of SF bay, sailing with a double reef in the main the 110 jib furled down to about 90% handles the bay conditions very nicely, much better than the Tartan.

Having just written the latest slip rent check and noticing that the price has climbed and keeps climbing, I'm cured of bigger boatitus.
Yup, it does seem to cycle back to those regular checks just to *own* a boat. (sigh)
We have had bouts of "bigger Ericson lust" because out slip is 42 feet long, but have decided to stick with our present boat. It is, truthfully, "big enough" for our needs.
We do get invited out occasionally on a friends's E-38-200, berthed near us. Love it, but it certainly is a Lot more boat to dock and un-dock... must be about another 4K of displacement, give or take.
