New docks at Rosario Resort Marina

I just saw this on Twitter via Three Sheets NW blog. We've tied to a buoy there and enjoyed a walk and listened to Christopher Peacock's organ playing and the history presentation describing the resort's beginnings as a private residence. There is contact info in the article. Great place to visit whether by boat or ferry, while in the San Juan Islands.

Good News

When we visited in 2014, the old wooden docks were definitely "old".
From the new ariel view and the story about having 30 slips, it looks like there may be less slips now, but each one is larger. I guess that would reflect the presence of so many yachts over 40 feet. Admittedly, I have never counted the slips before I may be incorrect.
It was quite a challenge to get in and out of the old slip arrangement when there was any wind at all. We were on the side toward the rip-rap and maneuvering was rather sporty.

Worth the visit, however. The high expense was offset by the great old mansion and facilities.
