SOLD--New Jordan Series Drogue, $1500

Anyone contemplating offshore in the near future should have a Jordan Series drogue aboard. Such a drogue is insurance against gales and even hurricanes. Much has been written about them, and they provide peace of mind. Yes, expensive, but necessary kit.

Mine is new, not used (glad to report). 107 cones is for a 35-foot boat, but also works for a 32 or 38. I chose somewhat fewer cones than standard for my E38 because the full drogue can pull stern cleats right off a boat under ultimate conditions.

Retail price in May was $1600 for the drogue from Ace Sailmakers.
The required bridle, two 50-foot lengths of 5/8th, was $180 (before sales tax).
Shipping to Cal from Ace in Connecticut was $95.
Included is my bag of chain as the weight for the end of the drogue.

Price is $1500, a good savings, especially if you can pick it up in Los Angeles. Negotiable for special pleadings. Send private message by clicking User Name/start conversation.
