Olson 34, tall rig- verify ballast

PNW Jeff

Does anybody know with certainty what the ballast should be on the next to last Olson 34 built by Ericson? I'm addressing a very old PHRF rating and it's asking for Ballast. I found 3,500 lbs in Sailboatdata.com but wondering if there were any changes over the life of the O34 to balast.

Thanks!

AFAIK in the last of the production EY sold a few with a wing keel, and even that brochure probably listed the same ballast. Since there was only one stock elliptical lead fin keel, all should be the # stated on the brochure.

Ballast= 3650# if you have the stock elliptical keel.

ps: there are number of errors in the SailboatData site. Keel and rudder, shapes and port lights are wrong. This was from a preproduction drawing from Pacific Boats. The ballast # and hull construction info is also wrong for the same reasons. I tried to help them differentiate the boats from Pacific Boats and from EY, but they did not pay too much attention.
