Replaced lifelines with dyneema

I wanted to share this in case it can encourage others to do this project.
We replaced our lifelines in our E25+. We learned how to splice dyneema some time ago, and are planning to replace standing rigging with synthetic in the future, so we went with Dyneema, cheaper, lighter, and more respectable than our old ss .

If anyone's interested on doing this type of project, I can write more in detail or help you out.

One of the sailors in our marina also replaced his lifelines with dyneema or similar, and it also looks good. He added a short (one to two inch) piece of heat shrink wrap where it came in contact with stanchions to prevent chafe from any rough edges in the stainless steel. It seemed like an easy, good idea.

This new thread might be good to extend a prior thread. Not sure of labeling the preexisting one a "master" thread, but something to consider ...
