Does someone have to regularly lift out the full basket and empty the contents?

It could be absolutely mesmerizing to watch this thing...after a few beers. But I'm afraid they'd need a fleet of these at my marina because sometimes there is a floating island of flotsam and jetsam next to the bulkhead.

Yes, marina staff (yacht club staff) have to empty them as needed. It will be of interest to see how they handle winter rains, which wash a lot of street junk into Santa Monica Bay after eight months of no precip at all.

This is how they do it in Baltimore Harbor when a Seabin just won't do. Lets all hope nobody's marina ends up looking like this.

I've seen that thing many times and it's amazing how much they run it.
