Something to wine about

Recently my (at least) 33 year old Adler Barbour refrigeration unit decided to retire. It was replaced (by a pro, not me) with another Adler Barbour C-100 unit and new evaporator in the ice box. I may do another posting or blog about it all but before that I have a question about removing the wine rack from the galley of my E32-3. Here a photo of what it looks like now.

Those folks back at Ericson when my boat was built in 1087 were fond of wine drinking I think because there was a removable wine rack for 6 bottles in one of the galley cabinets along with this "permanent" rack located in the corner of the galley between the hinged plate and cups storage (on the right) and a cabinet door (on the left.) Now, my wife drinks wine but not that much and I prefer vodka, neat, which I keep in the bottom of the frog. At this point you're probably wondering what all this has to do with refrigeration. Well, that new unit sits on a shelf inside the starboard lazarette which is where the old one was located. This seems to be a typical spot for then compressor in an E32-3. The issue here is that it can get hot in that compartment especially when the engine is running. I still have the blower working to remove heat but it seems to me that getting more fresh air to the unit the better. The new unit is installed with the small radiator (not sure of the correct name for that part) facing forward and about 16 inches or more behind the right side wall of the wine rack.

So I was thinking of removing the rack and installing a vent to allow fresh cabin air to enter the lazarette. Getting rid of the bottle racks would be my first step which I started to do by removing a screw that is exposed inside the cabinet to the left that goes into the lower bottle rack. But that seemed to loosen up nothing, that rack won't budge. I'm thinking that a glue and screw was done when the rack was installed so I stopped and decided to post here to find out if anyone has removed the wine rack from this part of their E32-3. Maybe other models also had similar racks but I 'm not aware of them. Any thoughts on how best to remove the wood pieces with limited damage?
