12:00 - 1:00: Sail/motor to the meet up location. Once there, join us in making passes traveling North and South to hail greetings and introductions (name, model, and boat name) from your cockpit or deck with other Ericson yachts.

1:00 – On: Finish the day with a “No Host” Group Sail – Direction, distance and destination based on wind. Sail at the pace you desire or hang back with the smaller boats for pictures and scenery. Or, do a combination of both! (Use your VHS CH68 to communicate).

Note: Give Pt. Blunt a wide berth. Don't sail between the point and the green marker.

I don't know why the colons were replaced by emojis for the meet times but 12 o'clock to 1 o'clock pm is what was suppose to be there. Please post here if you are planning on coming and if you are just out for the day, look for us.

Hi Grant -

Sounds like fun. I have it penciled-in, though my pencil marks are sometime overruled by those higher up the chain of command.

Hope to see you out there,

Tom

I envy you guys, so far South of me.
We are experiencing full-on "Oregon weather" today. Rain and wind and cold. Reasonably high "misery index" as we sometimes call it.

We would love to join a raft up in our boat's ancestral waters, even at 6 feet of distance....
:)

I am interested in going but I am reminded that it is weekend before finals week at SJSU where I teach, it's usually very crazy for me that weekend. We'll see.

*** The "No Host" Ericson Meetup is this Sunday the 6th! ***
Weather pending of course, but it looks like it will be a nice day. Hope we get some wind! If you get a chance to join us come out!
I will be cursing the East side on Angle Island near Pt Blunt from 12:00 to 1:00. Then, sailing to anywhere there is wind.

My boat is apart with a lot of the deck hardware removed, so I will not be able to make it. Maybe next time. Thanks for organizing...

Hi all-
Unfortunately my regular crew (aka my girlfriend) can't come out today and with covid the way it is, it doesn't feel smart to bring out someone from another household. Thanks for organizing this and hopefully when this all passes we can do an angel island BBQ or something like that. Fair winds, Ian

I’m off Pt Blunt monitoring 16 counting seals and porpoises.

Great photo! We just drove out to the YC moorage, just to get out of the house for a little while. River looked flat, gray, and cold, little wind, low overcast all day with occasional drizzle. About 4 or 5 members sitting out on the deck a ways apart in heavy coats. (clubhouse is mostly closed due to Covid risk).
Wish we could have joined you on the Bay.
:)

Good times. The cove behind Pt. Blunt is well-protected and a good spot for a future family picnic.

Found Grant after a few minutes and had a good chat. Then tried to keep up with him in his new 911 around Angel Island, but I was fighting a losing battle. Grant's boat is in fantastic shape. Crossed paths with a green-hulled 32-3 ('86-'87) sail #708 (not in my E32 wiki).
4-6kts of breeze and hazy skies at noon turned into 10-12kts by mid-afternoon, and clear sunshine, so another good day on the bay.

Got to Angle and met up with with Tom on “Sure Shot”. Great looking E32-2! Nice rigging. Sail the slot back toward Sausalito with him. Wind picked up 10-12k great weather and good sail!

It was great meeting you Tom, and we really hope to sail with you soon again. Maybe after Covid is over, we can sail on the same boat together! It would be fun! The 911 is off the hook fast for a 30 footer. I am still learning the boat and tuning the rig. It has really helped. Also my secret weapon is having Dolores drive. Seriously, she is a very good driver. We plan to try some double hand races together with me on foredeck. The kite is huge on the this boat! Let me know next time you are out and we can try to meet up again.

Looks fun y'all! I did end up getting out but it was my first time single-handing so I didn't want to make any promises about where I would be. I think I saw you all headed back towards Sausalito. Thought the very low, dense fog layer sneaking under the bridge looked pretty cool!
