Those Darn Ol' Spreader Brackets

Hello Eircsonites,
I'm a proud new owner of a 73' Ericson 29. Hade a great time sailing her down from Ventura to San Diego. But, on her first day in the bay I broke off the portside spreader. The spreader is fine but the bracket sheared right off. I've read some threads on this matter and it seems to be a big problem finding a replacemet part. I will check with my local reasoures but would appreciate any help on the matter. (casting, fabricating, finding a suitable replacement)
Thank You,Mariner's Honey :egrin:

Ouch! Welcome to the site - sorry about the way we're meeting, though...

:esad:

On the replacement - after their fire, I'm not sure about their available stock, but RigRite always was the source for Kenyon spars and accessories...

Let us know how you fare...

Happy Holidays -

Sorry, I can't be of much assistance with the problem, but believe I saw your boat in Fiddler's Cove yesterday. Welcome to the marina! Hope to see you out sometime.

As far as the problem... there are some good riggers on Shelter Island that could give you some advice.

Yikes! If it were my boat, I'd pull that stick and start going through
it. That bracket could be milled out of solid aluminum easy enough.
Welcome to the club.
