Thru-hull rudder, broken tiller mount

andrew

New Member
Recently purchased a 1969 Ericson 23 with a thru-hull rudder assembly. The tiller mount fits into the thru-hull fitting and has, incorporated into one piece of metal, two "pin mounts" (small holes for a bolt to slide through) for the tiller. One of these has been broken off (as can be seen in the photo).

Does anyone know where to find a replacement part, probably the entire thru-hull rudder fitting? If not, what are some suggestions for repairing this?

Thank you,
Andrew

Fix it

Andrew,
Would not think that would be a big deal to fix. Any experiance metal shop should be able to fix. If you were here in Alameda, I would take it to Svens metal shop. Take you pic to an experiance marine metal shop and I bet they will have you in and out no problem. Ryan
