YSB-8 siphon break and exhaust

Annapolis E-27

Member III
I need some help. My YSB-8 runs well except for a small amout of exhaust steam but I am confused as to why I seem to get much more water flow out of the siphon break into the scupper than acutal output of cooling water through the waterlock and out the exhaust. I have checked all the hoses and mixing elbow for blockages and can't find any. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Can you tell if the flow rate seems proportional e.g. as you bring RPM up, it increases at what seems to be a balanced amount both from the siphon break and the exhaust, or does it kick up the flow a lot on one versus the other? What's the sipon break look like for design? Is it something like what Vetus sells or more basic, like a tube with a tap?
