O34 Lewmar Atlantic Port-light, rainy day

It's a cold & rainy afternoon but we're inside with the furnace running, and while spec-ing out some inside panel work, I took a picture of one of our Opening Ports. All opening ports were replaced during the re-fit in 2021, and (so far) none have leaked. The newer design "over center" latch levers do not penetrate the lens like the 80's Lewmar design with their turn-levers and leak prone O-rings.
40 degrees and rain -- vintage western Oregon December weather. :(
Comfortable inside, however! :)

Note that the newer design does not use the 80's flexible molded plastic inside trim, that gets brittle and faded after several decades. I like the "functional" look of the exposed inside structural aluminum clamp ring, although some might prefer the earlier look... it's all subjective.
