    Pacifica's new owner

Hi Lew, Thanks for the comments. It's very surprising you have not been able to find a new home for Serendipity. When we saw her she was such a beautifully kept up boat, I would think she'd be snapped up in a heartbeat. How are you advertising her and getting the word out? In San...

    Pacifica's new owner

For those interested... our Ericson 39-B s/v Pacifica has a new owner and name. She is now owned by Simon V. and goes under the new name of s/v Goodonya. Simon has been in Berkeley for the last couple months and will be around through the Boat Show. Following the pizza-beer party on Saturday...

    Ericson 39-B for sail

More photos have been added to our 39-B listing page. This is a great boat to move up to for Ericson admirers on the West Coast. www.queserasailing.com/ericson39b.htm

    Ericson 39-B for sail

Our Ericson 39-B, s/v Pacifica, is for sale. She is just back from a very successful Mexico/Hawaii cruise and was hauled out this past week for a new bottom job. This is a fantastic boat for ocean cruising, living aboard and great day sails on the bay. Details can be seen at...

    SF Bay Raft up!!

Can you say "flake"? We feel kinda bad about this, but we have had too much stuff come up this weekend and will not be able to make it. We hope all you other Vikings have a great time in Cipper Cove. Greg and Melissa

    SF Bay Raft up!!

Edd, You should definitely come. In fact, I don't think the currents look bad at all for you. Most of your run over will be on an ebb. You may get there quicker than you think.

    SF Bay Raft up!!

raft-up Walt, We are still planning on, and looking forward to, the raft-up. It's interesting that you saw a 39-B on the water last weekend. I thought we had the only one in the bay, and we weren't out last weekend. Anyway, we look forward to meeting you.

    Help replace my mainsail...

Phil, I'm jealous. We did the Ha-Ha last year and had a blast. Get ready for way too much fun. Are you going to stay in Mexico for a while?

    Help replace my mainsail...

Ericson Raft-up Hi Phil, That sounds like a very nice offer for Howard. I hope he at least reads it before committing to something else. We actually keep or Ericson in the same marina as Howard (Berkeley), and I can tell you he is a great guy - as well as his wife Carol. The reason I am...

    KIWI Prop Customer

Kiwiprop Kiwiprop still gets a thumbs up from us. No problems. I think it's clearly the best deal around in a feathering prop. Very easy to adjust pitch if you need to.

    Your local sailing club dues

Berkeley Yacht Club We belong to the Berkeley Yacht Club in the San Francisco Bay. There was an initiation fee of $500 - which we actually got for $400 during a special weekend event. There are quarterly fees of $145. Great club, wonderful people, not sure why we took so long to join...

    restaurants

Another option to consider is that many marinas have restaurants on their grounds. For instance at our homeport of the Berkeley Marina there is Skates and a new Japanese Steakhouse who's name escapes me. Skates is a fairly high end restaurant with amazing views as they sit on piers right over...

Big Dog - Dogs on Board

Booties for doggies Our Matey uses sailing booties quite often when we go out. Her favorites are the Hott Doggers from Muttluks - http://www.muttluks.com/our_products/index.php These are inexpensive and do a great job of giving her confidence to move around while sailing upwind. Greg Davids

    Anchor poll

anchors 44 lb. Delta, 150' chain and a whole bunch of nylon line which very rarely sees the light of day. We also have a Danforth at the stern and a 44lb. Bruce as a back-up if needed. The Delta has been a fantastic anchor for us - never having dragged even once after being properly set.

    SF Bay Raft up!!

Great, it sounds like there are a number of interested parties. Why don't we firm up a date. Since we are going to try to do a haul out of Pacifica in early October, how about the weekend of the 20th? Is this good for everyone? Edd and Debi, welcome to the Ericson family. We look forward to...
