Parting out or selling my Ericson 27'. Located in St Clair Shores MI Jefferson beach marina. 2500 for whole thing or negotiate parts. Has a garmin nav system with depth and wind. Many sails including a newish 140 jib. newish furling system as well. The Atomic 4 likely doesn't run (why I am...
Upon further research I am also considering the Alado furler. I am trying to sort out the required sail tape size for both CDI and Alado. My sails currently have size 5 so I am hoping one or both systems are compatible. Harken I know is size 5 but I have decided that Harken is just to far out of...
I am giving up on my seaflex furler that came with my boat and buying a new furler. (long story)
I am considering the CDI flex furler but was wondering if anyone has any experience/opinions on them.
My largest concern is the internal halyard and what to do with it once the sail is raised.

Thanks for all the advice
Thanks Toddster, The exciter leg is connected to the coil like the original and new alternator. I was just wondering if anyone had heard of a reason for the other wires (Radio and Autopilot power) to be connected to it. As I thought there doesn't seem to be any good...
First a big thank you to all the advice that you gave me and others that I read over to get my answers. A special thanks to Sailing42 (John) who helped me find the routing of my mast wiring so that I could use the original path.
During the process of trying to fix my wiring I found many...
Hello all

My question and hang up are getting the wire through the mast step and to the bottom of the boat to then run aft. The old wiring seams to run this way but a new wire...
Thanks for all the advice
There are plenty of parts for the furler so I will probably rebuild it. No way really to know how old it is.

Last year I bought an Ericson 27. Sailed it for the summer and have a list of parts to buy and things to fix (which I expected for the price). On the top of the list is the Genoa 150 and a Seaflex furler for said Genoa. The Genoa has a tear along and close to the foot of the sail. I wanted to...
My boat needs a bit of work and I also want to update it to make it easier to single hand sail.
Was wondering where you guys and gals buy your equipment.
I will be looking for rope clutches, self tailing winch, and a lazy jack system.
Thanks for the help
