    Weight of E-23 mast ?

I'd guess 80 to 90 lbs. The mast raising system that Ericson developed works quite well - you might take a look at it before building a different one. I've found it's best to have one person on the mast and one on the winch - though a friend has done it alone. Gordon

    E-23 Stuck-up centerboard

I replaced my E23 board a few years back with a SS spline sandwiched between UHMW plastic. I've been pleased with the results but the materials weren't inexpensive. Hardest part for me was the attachment of the plastic to SS. Here's a few picturres, if you want more info just write me. Gordon

    transducer location?

I just mounted a depth sounder in my E23. I did all wiring and mounting except for the transducer with boat on trailor. I left it "unglued" with all extra wire where I wanted to mount it. After launching, I used vasoline petroleum jelly between hull and transducer to check whether or not I had a...

    Ericson 23 centerboard

I have built an E 23 centerboard and also have my original (unuseable) centerboard. If you haven't gotten info from Bob, reply back and I could get measurements for you. I posted some pictures of how I made a board (somewhere) on this site - you could search for it or I could send you more...

    swing keel equals maybe gone?

Seems to me that finding out if the board is still with you is your first step with method described above using two people and a weighed line. If the board is still attached, I'd be inclined to gather all parts that might be needed to reattach: SS cable of correct length & related...

    E- 25's and E-23's Centerboard

New centerboard I made a new centerboard for my E23 using a piece of 3/8 SS core sandwiched between UHMW plastic which I shaped to match my original board. I would post some pictures but can't figure out how to (being techno challenged - can someone explain how?). If anyone is interested in...

    E 23 Mast Step System

E 23 mast raising/lowering I have a 1975 E-23, #210. Yes - the mast can be lowered & raised with those instructions for a 23-2. Doing it for the first time I would suggest reading both raising and lowering instructions a few times and tripple checking everything. Two people are really...

    e23 centerboard

Bob - I am currently building a replacement centerboard for my E23, a 1975 hull #210. The orginal was rusted and splitting and close to just falling off. E23's apparently had 2 (at least) centerboards from what I've found - the difference being where the hindge point is. Both pivot...
