Yes. Open it to fill and chain broke. I used a water fill cap for temp security of fuel and stuck a plug in the water fill.

The fill cap has a very fine thread compared to the marine store replacement caps. Thanks for any clues forwarded

I have a 1987 34-2. I assume similar techniques were used in construction. I found little round tabs identical to the flooring on the solo near the galley. A beautiful job to hide the attachment points
