    I suppose if it’s very close to the base of the mast otherwise the geometry will be off as the pivot points will be different

    Why wouldn’t you want to attach the boom kicker to the mast? Isn’t that what it is designed to do?

    Be cautious using McLube on plastic. Check manufacturers recommendations. I know CarboFoil says definitely do not use.
