    Dogs on board

PFD recommend I highly recommend the PFD's by Ruffwear. We have one for our Boxer and it works really well and is very well constructed with a large lift handle on the back. She loves to wear it because she loves to get in the water, the boat not so much, but she loves to swim!

    Storage for ShorePower Cords

Luv those things! I have a cordpro for the shore power line as well as smaller ones for the at home extension cords. I love them. I keep thinking they would make great gifts but I figure people would think I am weirder than they already do! I also have those ratcheting cord holders. We call...

    Boat Show rendezvous

Well it was great to meet those who were there when we did our drive-by (sail-by?) meeting. Sorry we couldn't stay! David- one of these days I will actually take you up on the sail on Emerald!

    2006 Mid Atlantic Rendezvous

rendezvous Sounds good to me too! and since I managed to get all the way across this great land last year to gather with the Pacific NW Vikings, if you let me know when I will really try & be there. We would travel via auto (otherwise I should have left already!), but would be happy to meet up...

Prop Puller in Nothern NJ or Southern NY

Does any one in either the Northern NJ or Southern NY area have a prop puller that they would lend/rent? I finally convinced the captain to go for the Indigo Prop (gee I really miss the excitement of backing out of the slip). Now we just need to persuade the old egg beater to relinquish it's...

    Installing Indigo Prop

Turn around time? Ralph What was the turn around time on your indigo prop order? I am trying to convince the captain that getting rid of the egg beater with that awful prop walk would be a good thing (not a "challege to his ability"!). Time has grown short for launch though, so am I waiting...

    E-27 spreader brackets

Sail Slug Plates Can you tell me what he is charging for the sail slug plates? We had a guy local to the marina cut some for us (after one of the ones we had decided to go for a swim!), but he did a terrible job. I would love to have some really well cut and fitted plates (like the old ones, sigh).

    Bottom paint removal

We removed 6 coats of existing bottom paint this spring. Hope to never do that again. We dreamt about scraping, our arms were like jelly. I believe it took a total of 63 man (person) hours. There was a boat near us that used stripper, but it appeared to require scraping afterwards, so I am not...

    DIY shrink-wrapping?

Gareth Yes we had the mast up. Boom supports back end of cover and halyard front end. Zippers in middle to connect both halves and a zippered entrance on the stern. If that helps. Margaret

    DIY shrink-wrapping?

DIY Shrink Wrapping - now canvas cover Gareth We had a canvas cover made by Patino Canvas located at the Haverstraw Marina on the Hudson. I believe it was $1,500 for our 27 footer. It did seem to keep the boat clean and dry. It was installed by them last year and taken down by us in the...
