    Loose Tiller on E27

I think the issue is where the tiller fork attaches to the rudder head. i had this problem. I attached a shim about 1/8" to the rudder cap which took the play out the the tiller fork to cap joint.

I was looking at the Navman 3100's but i cannot find them anymore. It's like they stopped making them. Mike

    Instruments

I currently have Navico wind, speed & depth on my 27. none of which work. I want to replace them all with like types of display, 4" square. Are there any other options beside Raymarine ST60, TackTick and Nexus NXS. i was hoping not to spend my "whole" budget on new instruments. Thanks, Mike

E27 Rudder head and Tiller Casting

My tiller fork is symetric and my rudder post cap shows no signs of "set screw" holes, only the bolt hole for the tiller fork. My concern about drilling out the bolt hole to the next size is that the bolt becomes the only point of energy transfer and it would still slop around. Mike

    9 loop deck hand rails

I ended up making new handrails myself. I was unable to find any pre-made that matched the bolt pattern in the deck. It also ended up being the most cost effective. Mike

E27 Rudder head and Tiller Casting

Nick, is the slop between the tiller fork and the rudder cap? I had enough slop I mounted a shim to the rudder cap the thickness of a door hinge. It solved that problem but i need to get a shim made of stainless. Mike

    Dual Radial Blooper

I Googled and came up empty, must be older than the internet. UTL = unable to locate. A guy at the club said it could be a predecessor of a Gennaker. BTW the PO passed away and we bought the boat from his wife, he was the sailor. We got a spinnaker, Blooper and a whisker pole. I was going...

    Dual Radial Blooper

Yes, we have a spinnaker, but the spinnakler pole was UTL by the PO. So the Blooper would fly with the spinnaker?

    Dual Radial Blooper

Hi everyone! This is my first post. When we bought our 1974 Ericson 27 a year ago, we got a bunch of sails. We have sailed lot this summer learning the boat with the basic, 1, 2 & 3 genoas. We have a Dual Radial Bloooper (from 1978) that I am trying to figure how to use. No one I've talked to...
