That’s a great looking install. That aluminum frame is obviously sturdy enough to support the windlass. Does it flex much under use? I wasn’t sure that the lip would be strong enough to support the loads. I’m going with a horizontal on the front half of the locker. Figure I’ll tie it in using...

Hi! I’m planning the windlass install for my 34-2 and have stumbled across cheap remote controls on amazon. For 20-30$ it looks like I can get a wireless remote…. Anyone tried one of these yet? Any feedback? Cheers

I am in the exact same situation! Just left my marine store and they couldn’t find a second smaller spring. Guess I’m off to Australia!

Has anyone found a recent source for the drawer tracks? My plastic bits are fine, but the steel track is a pile of rust and apparently rust falling in the cutlery isn’t what the admiral wants…. I can’t seem to find them on Amazon like other old posts seem to suggest. Cheers E34-2

Any specific type of grease required for this job? Any type of marine grease will do?

I looked at the first thread before, it’s a great install but it really don’t want to go that deep. I’ll be trying to sort an install within the existing locker pan. I know I’ll always have to tail, I can live with that for now.
