dorads

Just became owner of a Mk III in Valdez, AK Between the dorads in front of the mast is an unfinished area looks like silicone or something 6 inches by foot and a half (roughly) what is supposed to be there??? thanks

OK, I love my boat as much as the next guy but there are 2 things I've found in Ericson's that just make me think they were engineered to die after time. 1. Cockpit drains underwater. What is the point? You can't close them and leave the boat or eventually it will flood the cabin and sink...
