My 1986 E-32 received a West Epoxy System hull job in 1988 when the blister problem was first noted, although my water absorption readings were under 10%. Ericson paid half the cost and the "blister problem was solved forever." In south Florida by 1993 the blisters were back. Hundreds of little...
Hi Gareth Harris,
Your survey from 2004 is very informative. I have decided to lift her out of the water and have the hull inspected for any damage.
Then I think I will keep her on dry land until she is in prime condition.
If you have any recommendation on how to repair this micro cracks you...
Attention Florida sailors. I want to call your attention to an article in the January 2009 issue of Southwinds Sailing. On page 35 there is an article about new anchoring restrictions being proposed by the FWC. You can read the article on the Southwinds site www.southwindsmagazine.com. Once...
My wife and I own a 29' Ericson that we sail in Lake Superior. We were wondering if any Ericson owners would be able and willing to take us sailing...a few hours would be fine, we just want the ocean experience as we have never sailed in an ocean, but we want to do so in the future. We would...
My husband and I may be relocating to the NE Florida area from New Hampshire. Any comments on the general sailing community? Any recommendations of great neighborhoods/towns in the NE or Jacksonville area?
We are avid sailors and plan on bringing our E32-200 with us... any hints or...
Someone on this list knows the answer to this, I am sure. What is the current legality of a US registered boat and US skipper making a (strictly tourist) trip from Florida to Cuba? How about a Canadian crew in the same (US registered) boat? How about a Canadian crew in a Canadian reg'd boat...

Can an e38 with a mastheight 54' make it through the bridges across the intercoastal across florida?
I understand that at the 49' limit bridge, a tilting service is available but can a 54 mast get through?
Hello,
I am making an offer on an '87 35-3 currently in SW Florida and will have a survey done if I reach an agreement. Can anyone suggest a surveyor, based on experience? Any that you would reccomend avoiding?
Thanks for any comments.
Neil
I think I want to purchase an Ericson 25+, but I have never seen, nor sailed one.
If anyone in south florida has a boat they would let me oogle over and maybe even take me for a quick sail, I would forever be in there debt.

So, are there any Ericson folks in the Tampa/StPete area?
I'm still in the process of learning...
My 1975 E25 is a fixed keel model w/ the tall mast (and a main apparently from a "regular" height mast).
Still primarily a "day sailer" on week-ends in Boca Ciega Bay near Gulfport.
