Respecting lifelines and stanchions ... a rant

You come in to the dock, under control, with no problems ... Some helpful person on the dock decides to help and grabs the boat by one of the boat handles, known as stanchions, and puts their full weight into pushing it, or almost as bad, starts pulling a lifeline as hard as he can...

    Lifeline Netting

Putting netting on Goin' Rogue. Top line is 22 off the deck. Choices are 18 or 24 inch netting. Does it matter which one? Also, looking at Sea Mar sports netting in Seattle to supply it. Anyone using their netting? Thanks! -Tim

    Wanted: Lifeline Stanchion

Looking for replacement lifeline stanchion posts for my Ericson. This is the just stainless steel tube that fits into the stanchion base with two holes for the lifeline cable to pass through. Used or a source for new replacements for 1978 Ericson 30-2

    E28+ Lifeline Size?

I'm going to replace my lifelines, and want to order new pelican hooks prior to removing/measuring the lifelines. Does anyone know the wire size and swaged threaded fitting size for E28 lifelines? It's an hour drive each way to the boat, or I'd check it out myself... thanks, all.

    Re-bedding lifeline stanchions, E30+

I have been of a mind for some time now to re-bed my lifeline stanchions. In planning the job, I see that several of them have nuts that are inaccessible on the interior of the boat due to cabinetry, such as the galley cabinets. Any tips from any of you as to how to deal with this problem...
