I can't say enough good things about the Ericson 28 - We've owned Broomstick for 4+ years and are selling her primarily to realize our next sailing dream which is to charter in places like Turkey. But alas we are not made of money...so we must make a choice.
The 28 feels like a bigger boat...
I bought an 1988 E-28 last summer. It had been on the hard for 4 years and somewhere during that time the pole went missing. The PO was deceased and his wife had no idea where it may have gone. The boat came with a good spinnaker. Around a 12 foot pole will do.
