Our 1973 Ericson 32 (originally with tiller steering, now with an Edson wheel) is leaking increasing amounts of water from the top of the rudder shaft. We've spent a fair amount of money having the local marina repack the seal at the top of the shaft, as well as (this spring prior to launch)...

Last night I was adding grease to zerk(?) fitting on rudder tube. I guess I over filled it as grease worked its way out from under the fiberglass tabing built up around the zerk, not a good thing I suspect. My question will it leak water do I have to reglass- launch in 2 days and many things to...
